Ali has had another set back. She had alot of gas in her intestines from the last feeding she had mentioned in our previous post.
They watch this very carefully as it can lead to necrotizing enterocolitis.
They have done several x-rays since the night of 11/30. The x-ray from this morning did not change alot from the previous x-ray. Dr. Bruce said they would do a x-ray later to see if anything has changed.
The line she has going to her stomach that has been giving her feedings is now connected to a tube that periodically sucks out any gases from her stomach. This is done at a very low pressure.
They have her on several antibiotics, and she is still off her feedings.
However, she is still gaining weight even though she is not getting feedings or lipids through her IV.
She is now 3 lbs 13.7 oz.
Awe, Jodi, she is so cute with all her fat rolls. Our family prays for her daily and know that our prayers on her behalf are answered. We love you and Adam and know that your Father in Heaven loves you too.
