It's Getting Better ... All the Time

Last night we found out that Ali was getting to be alot better.

On Friday they took the IVs out of Ali's umbilical cord, and the umbilical cord came out as well so they were able to start feedings.
Ali has been getting fed more and more with every feeding. (she just started Friday night)
She was about to go up to 5 mL before we left last night.
It was obvious that Ali was getting better.

Last night our bishop from our church came to assist in giving a blessing to Ali.
It was a very peaceful moment.
I felt very comforted when giving the blessing to Ali.
I knew she would be getting much better.

Then the night got even better.
The nurse said that Ali was doing well enough so that we could hold her.

It was the sweetest and most heartfelt moment for our tiny family.
Small button nose...fragile little body...cute little eyes.
It was a moment never to be forgotten.

As a keepsake, the nurse gave us the pink cap and blanket to keep.
We felt so much better after holding her.
And we know it will continue to get better... all the time.
